Tommy Paul secured his third ATP Tour title and his first on grass at the cinch Championships on Sunday, defeating Lorenzo Musetti 6-1, 7-6(8) in the final at Queen’s Club.
The fifth seed displayed intensity and aggression throughout the 88-minute match. After a strong start, Paul faced challenges in the second set, failing to serve out the match at 5-4. He then rallied from 1/4 in the tie-break, saving one set point at 6/7 against Musetti, who was in his third tour-level final.
This victory places Paul among prestigious names such as John McEnroe, Pete Sampras, Andy Roddick, Andy Murray, and Carlos Alcaraz—a distinction he greatly appreciates.
With his 27th tour-level win of the season, Paul will surpass Taylor Fritz to become the American No. 1 for the first time in his career on Monday. The 27-year-old will rise to No. 12 in the PIF ATP Rankings.

Paul has been impressive all week on the lawns in west London, where he dropped just one set. His first tour-level title came in Stockholm in 2021, followed by a victory in Dallas this February. The Queen’s Club championship marks his inaugural ATP 500 title.
Along for the ride and ready for the spotlight was his influencer girlfriend, Paige Lorenze. She's used to traveling from tournament to tournament rooting for Paul. There was a bit of a cringe moment right here:

Lorenze, who has been a source of strength for Paul, is no stranger to the camera, showcasing her glamorous lifestyle on social media through her influencing career.
As Paul heats up ahead of Wimbledon, we expect more camera time for a Paige on the grass court.
