Almost three decades after Happy Gilmore’s epic win, Adam Sandler is bringing the golf hero back for an exciting sequel—Happy Gilmore 2! Fans have been waiting for this for years, and now it’s official. Sandler is once again taking on the green, joined by his unforgettable co-stars Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit and Christopher McDonald as the notorious Shooter McGavin.

Sandler teased this nugget on his Instagram account yesterday:

You can’t have a Happy Gilmore movie without Shooter McGavin—one of the best movie villains of all time. McDonald’s return promises to bring back that classic rivalry, and let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to see Shooter taunt Happy one more time? Virginia’s back too, because what’s a love story without Happy’s biggest supporter by his side? The nostalgia is real.

Sandler’s also teasing some exciting new faces in the cast, including Benito Martínez Ocasio (aka Bad Bunny), which should make for a fun, unexpected twist. While the plot is still under wraps, one thing’s for sure—this sequel will be packed with hilarious moments and epic golf battles that we’ve been craving.

The Happy Gilmore 2 creative team is loaded with returning names from the original hit.
